Third Saturday Art & Wine Walk

On the third Saturday of every month, downtown McMinnville is host to the year-round Third Saturday Art & Wine Walk in Historic Downtown McMinnville. The mood is relaxed and inviting with merchants hosting area wineries and local artists from 2pm to 8pm. While wineries pour tastes in downtown shops, artists display and sometimes demonstrate their work with both wine and art available for purchase. Start times vary by merchant.

UFO Festival

Each year in May, downtown McMinnville is "visited" in a cosmic sense. Beings from other galaxies walk the street during the second largest UFO celebration in the country. The MDA organizes the UFO Costume Parade featuring an eclectic mix of marching, grooving, hovering, dancing bands, spaceships, troupes of aliens, out-of-this-world decorated cars and much more. Following the parade is the Alien Pet Costume Contest. Guests can also enjoy a speaker's forum sponsored by McMenamins Hotel Oregon , with experts speaking on topics such as crop circles and U.S. Military involvement with UFO research. Adults are offered a pint of handcrafted Alienator Ale at McMenamins, and the whole family can pick up t-shirts, books, videos and more.
